5 Things You Can Do This Valentines Day
5 Things You Can Do This Valentines Day
13 Feb 2020

Year in and year out we try to show our significant other what they mean to us. We go the extra mile when it is the month of love, but if you are like a few of us who need some inspiration on how we can step up our game this year, we have you covered with this essential list.

Before we kick off our list, keep in mind what type of person your significant other is, and while we might offer some handy tips to sprinkle over your day to make it amazing, we are not love gurus. Everything is trial and error folks.

A little something for the introvert couples

For the introvert couples that blush at the slightest sign of public displays of affection such as being serenaded in song or by a massive bouquet of flowers, it is best to prepare your partner beforehand than to spring something on them. These are some of the things that you can do to make their day special:

Private Spa sessions are a great way for you and your significant other to unwind. You can choose to book this at a spa or host a private and intimate session in the comfort of your home.

Indoor wine tasting or making your own cocktails paired with a home cooked meal is a great way to kick off your evening. Don’t forget a special surprise gift to top it all off.

Romantic road trips can be one of the ways you can escape the hustle and bustle of your everyday lives and experience a new place. You can choose to travel to another province or another place that is close by that you have been meaning to explore, which is a bonus if you have children or pets.

Ambience restaurants or experience gifts are a growing trend that involve a 360 experience that involves more than just eating. See the Ambience restaurant to give you an idea.

A little something for the extrovert couples

If your significant other is a social butterfly whose eyes glisten at the thought of going to a new place, meeting new people and immersing themselves in a new experience here are a couple of things that you can do to make their day interesting:

Secret Sunrise is an event that involves a combination of music, movement, and connection. A perfect way for couples to wind down and enjoy the moment before heading off to work.

Adventure time. A perfect moment to hit the road during the day to explore places they have been meaning to explore, but have not had the time to, and when the evening swings by you can cuddle up with your favourite series, drink, or snacks to wind down. It’s a win-win situation for an introverted-extroverted couple.

Bring out their inner child. Plan activities that you can play together, such as going for 10 pin bowling, go-kart racing, or participating in an escape room experience. Despite some of these activities being group events, there is hardly time for you to get caught up in small talk since there will be so much to do.

Go to a show or hiking. The ‘E’ in extroverts stands for exploring. Whether this is exploring new places, experiences or people they are within. Even if this is not a show or exploring the great outdoors, taking them outside of the house for a little exploring will put a smile on their face.
