They came from all parts of the country. They saw a master course hosted at the scenic Midmar Dam and ultimately conquered the MiWayLife 226 Brick Challenge.
The event which started as the brainchild of Glen Gore, a seasoned triathlete, has now finished its 3rd successful event with athletes from all over South Africa joining to complete a swim, cycle, and run. This year's event proved to be much more than just an event, but a platform where everyone is treated like a pro. There is something for everyone with an action-packed course that challenges athletes to push themselves. There is something for those who are just starting, to the pro athletes who see it as a great way to get some training in.
“At this race, our entrants are not just another race number. Everyone is treated like a VIP with five-star treatment being given from start to finish. We may not be the biggest, but we pride ourselves on being one of the best, if not THE BEST,” says Glen Gore.
“The value each athlete gets at registration with the goodie bags has turned us into legends of the local racing scene. There is no other sporting event in ZA that gives as much as we do in terms of value – we have dared other race organisers to match us – so far no takers,” says Glen Gore.
